About Grow Ministries
The Grow Ministries plan is an orderly study of the Bible to help you grasp not only what happened in Scripture, but in what order! Designed to follow specific themes through the Bible, GROW IN HIS WORD also provides “hooks” and memory tools to help students remember what they’ve learned.
Many have said that it is the first time that they’ve understood the Bible or been able to put the Bible in its order.
GROW IN HIS WORD is designed to help the student learn about the Word of God in an orderly manner, to give a sense of confidence in the Bible, and be comfortable using it to teach others or to share their faith. Because of the acrostics that are used to designate time periods in the Old and New Testaments and the life of Christ, a believer can remember what he or she has learned and even, hopefully, where to find it.
The adult material is a four-book series with a total of 52 lessons that takes students through both the Old and New Testaments, as well as Church history. Although not every chapter of the Bible will be read, students will be reading much of the Bible throughout the study. In addition, each lesson includes application questions to create discussion and hopefully some spiritual wrestling.
A kids' version is also available and is aimed at late-elementary school children. GROW FOR KIDS is a two book series with a total of 30 lessons. It is broken down into a 16-week study of the Old Testament and a 14-week study of the New Testament and Church history. Leader's Guides are also available. Many of the same "hooks" and acrostics have been adapted from the adult material to help students undertand and remember the sequence and meaning of events and people in the Bible. Application questions and added "Did You Know" bubbles with fun facts are also included.
The kids' version is in full-color and includes photos, maps, timelines and more!

Dennis R. Miller
Dennis R. Miller, founder of GROW Ministries, is the lead pastor at Emmanuel Community Church, where he has pastored for over 25 years. Dennis holds a master’s degree from Huntington University, a Master of Divinity degree from the Evangelical School of Theology and has done some doctrinal study work at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dennis Miller and his wife, Karin, have two children and three grandchildren and reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
"When I became a pastor, I realized that the church was not teaching new believers. So I tried several Bible studies to fix that. All of them were good, but I needed something that would give people methods for retaining what they’d learned. I also wanted application to go along with the content that was being taught. Thus, I developed this material that I’ve been using for over 20 years. In my current position, I have seen literally thousands of people go through this study. It has been a joy for me!"
Christy Cabe
Christy Cabe is the daughter of Grow in His Word founder, Dennis Miller. Christy has a degree in Educational Ministries with a minor in Bible and Religion from Huntington University. She worked full-time in Children’s Ministry before becoming a stay-at-home mom and later an author and speaker. In addition to writing the Grow for Kids material, Christy has written two books about her story, faith, and hope. She enjoys speaking to various groups about her books and faith with a mix of Bible teaching, storytelling, humor and hope. Christy and her husband, Kraig, have three children and live in Indiana.
